Licence

Sendsprite is open source under the MIT License. That covers all of it: the server you can self-host, the sendsprite SDK and CLI, the @sendsprite/mcp server and the shared code bundled into them. One licence, no exceptions, no clauses that kick in later.

What you can do

The only condition is the one every MIT project has: keep the copyright and permission notice with the code.

What the licence does not cover

The name "Sendsprite", the wordmark and the logo are trademarks of defy.works. The MIT License covers copyright in the software and grants no right to use those marks. Fork freely, but run a public service under your own name — the trademark policy sets out what needs no permission and what does.

Contributions

There is no contributor licence agreement. By opening a pull request you agree that your contribution is licensed under the same MIT terms as the rest of the project; you keep your copyright. See CONTRIBUTING.md.

The hosted service

This page is about the code. Using the hosted service at sendsprite.com is governed by the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; nothing in them restricts the rights the licence grants.
